Bam Boom Cloud's Mary Thompson to talk at DynamicsCon

Mary Thompson, our very own Microsoft MVP and co-host of the ‘Women in Tech: The Untold Stories’ meetups, will be speaking at DynamicsCon on APIs and her passion for Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power Platform, and empowering women in technology.

Mary Thompson returns to DynamicsCon to present a special session on 17 March 2021, sharing how to make APIs easy for functional and technical consultants. Known as the “Superwoman” of the inaugural DynamicsCon, she is recognized for her meteoric rise to Microsoft MVP status and dedication to empowering women in both technology and life.

Mary is candid about her past struggles and unconventional path to a career in technology. She leaned heavily on the Microsoft Community for help and, in turn, pays her community back by staying involved and engaged. Her authentic style and humble personality have not gone unnoticed. When looking to recruit and rally additional female speakers, the team at DynamicsCon called on her to help.

“Mary brings her superpowers of connection, engagement, and FUN to our community! Through transparency and shared stories, she motivates all women to be their authentic selves, leading members to be confident in and out of the workplace,” states Molly Fuschel, DynamicsCon Director.

Removing barriers is a professional and personal passion for Mary Thompson.

Whether she is helping a colleague, a customer, fellow women in technology, the Microsoft community, or her own community—her commitment is inspiring. Having been a single mother struggling to make ends meet, Thompson wanted to pay it forward and identified with the women at Hannah House, a local women and children’s shelter in Columbia, South Carolina.

She has spent countless hours creating a tech center to give women access to the technology and training they need to secure better jobs. Bam Boom Cloud has also offered support by providing meals during summer camps and covering annual Wi-Fi access fees.

“Mary is the heartbeat of anything she’s part of, particularly when it comes to supporting women in technology and helping SMBs grow their business,” says Vicky Critchley, CEO of Bam Boom Cloud. “She is an integral part of our team, and we couldn’t be prouder to call her a colleague and friend.”

Named the 2019 Microsoft Partner of the Year for Dynamics 365 Business Central, Bam Boom Cloud (formerly CPIT) has emerged as a leader in the Dynamics community. Breaking the mold of a traditional Microsoft partner, they are focused on helping SMBs (with an emphasis on small businesses) gain access to rapidly deployable, affordable Microsoft cloud technologies.

Believing that every business, regardless of size, deserves cutting-edge ERP technology, Thompson leads the Dynamics Angels program with Bam Boom Cloud. Dynamics Angels focuses on assisting fellow channel partners’ growth opportunities by providing Business Central solutions and support for their clients. This strategic approach helps fellow partners close sales that may have previously been out of their scope of services or expertise.

“The backbone of the Microsoft Dynamics community are the members who dedicate themselves to helping each other. It’s difficult to put into words the impact this community has made on my life. Thankfully, the Bam Boom Cloud team empowers me every day to give back both personally and professionally. I’m grateful to be working for a company with a culture dedicated to underserved groups, whether they be SMBs or women in technology,” shares Mary Thompson.
